Obama and Bailouts

Foreclosures are part of economics, part of markets. They happen. They are sad. You can’t find a solution to falling market prices. The market knows all. However, we can try to understand how did we get inflated (to unaffordable prices) in the first place?

America has been outsourcing good jobs for 3 decades so that we can have Wal-Mart, Target etc. We have absolutely refused to recognize our culpability in the poverty of the world. The table you buy from target only costs 200 bucks for a reason. Some poor soul in some 3rd world country made it at 12 cents an hour so that Target’s CEO could make 20 million. We have gas that only costs $2.00/gal because we borrowed 2 trillion dollars from China to invade Iraq and Afghanistan and secure their natural resources. Oil and drugs. Trust me, we won’t be paying China back anytime soon. Those who somehow believe Obama “different” from other politicians need only read history. Take a gander at any speech by any presidential candidate from 1801-1899. What sounds familiar? Is it the hope, change, better life propaganda? Obama can’t go anywhere without his teleprompter and without it sounds just like Bush. This is not an Obama problem, or a Bush one. It’s an American one.

I am a political atheist. Honestly Obama and Bush have been presented to us to distract us from reality. Obama’s stimulus got a lot of headlines...but what was the news coming out about the same time? Was it the IEA announcing peak oil? Do you honestly think we live in a capitalistic society? A democratic one? COME ON! We have had the Federal Reserve for close to a century setting interest rates and “managing” the economy. Sounds as Marxist as you can get. You have a couple of idiots debating a 3 or 7 % tax hike or cut every 4 years, war or more war, gay rights and abortion. Are these really issues? To me they sound much more like distractions. GAY RIGHTS…um you have been outsourced to China. ABORTION…um…you’re unemployment benefits just ran out. So much evidence has been presented to show voter fraud, disenfranchisement, deception etc how can anyone with any intellectual honesty even believe fair elections exist in the US? If you are unfamiliar just research this yourself, no one has time to educate you on issues you should already know.

As for the economy, yes it is collapsing. Our debt financed lifestyle is ending or haven’t you noticed? Credit has dried up…and why? Could it be that everyone already has too much debt? Consumers, businesses, governments? What happens in a credit driven economy when you can’t make interest payments? Does it really make sense to get “lending” going again? Well hey, at least that way the bankrupt can take on even more bankruptcy? Sounds absurd to me, but that’s politics, that’s Obama (and Bush, Clinton, Bush, Regan, Carter, Johnson…etc)

Obama promised hope and change, and you won't even have to lift a finger! The government will do it for you! I am starting to understand why Ron Paul's message was lost on America. It was all about personal responsibility, accepting the consequences for you actions and lifting yourself up through hard work, dedication and discipline.

Nope, America wanted the easy way out as it always does, they wanted help with their mortgages, they wanted a bailout. Well...they got it, but at what cost? Could it be the end of the United States as we know it?

The end is near. I don't lik it.

I could be labeled a doomer I suppose. I have been warning of the coming collapse of our society due to corruption and peak oil for awhile now. I try to warn people of the need to plan for the future. Fuck. Who knew it would actually happen. I would be quite content blogging about the demise of capitalism for the next several decades. Reduced to smoking short cigars in my eighties, sitting outside a coffee shop and warning young'ins about the collapse and yearning for the "good old days".

Seriously. I am ready...give me 50 years of bitching about those in power and how someday they will fuck everything up. I am ready for that. I am not ready for them to actually have fucked us beyond all recognition. Somebody slap me and tell me its all a dream, that the world is not facing global economic collapse, that our leaders sound like they graduated high school, just not last night. I mean someone in the new administration has to get economics right???

Give me 50 years of blogging about total nonsense. I am ready, just don't let the collapse be real. Seriously.
